Sixteen years ago today we were doubly blessed when Erin and Elisabeth were born into our lives.....They were premature and had to be incubated......after crying and in distress, they were put in the same incubator.....Erin's arm went around Elisabeth and they quieted down......after all, they had always been together...
They were on sleep apnea monitors for six months...When Amy, their mother, went back to teaching, I kept them for two years...we sewed together, kept house together, played together, cooked together and visited the nursing homes together . They began singing for the residents...I told them they had to sing loudly because the people couldn't hear well....they sung out and continued to sing at church and other gatherings.....they have beautiful voices and have blessed so many people in their now sixteen years....
We celebrated yesterday by spending the day shopping and meeting my husband, their Pop, for lunch at 'Giggles', the tearoom of their choosing.....what a wonderful day I shared with them and how many memories we made.........
I love you both dearly and thank God for you.....Mam
If you have the time, perhaps you might like to pop over to their Mother's blog, Ponderings from Picketfence Cottage and wish them a Happy Birthday...as Clint Eastwood said, "it will make their day."
These pictures subject to change today.........
