On the exact same day, December 14th, after having an early Christmas luncheon with cousins, we stopped by the village post office to mail Marion and John's Christmas gift to Wales...when we drove in our carport, next to the door was a package.....checking the address, I saw it was from Marion......I brought it in and placed it under the tree....of course, I wondered what delightful treasures it held but determined to wait until Christmas Day to find out.....
Finally the day arrived and so many individually, gaily wrapped gifts came into view....for Edward and me......an elegant, gem-colored accessory carrier, a little mirrored 'sweet dreams' plaque, Lavender soap, a little teapot caddy, an exquisite necklace, a beautiful flower notepad, a CD of Welsh singers (I'm listening to it now) and an elegant tassel...(Marion, how did you know I hang them everywhere... on furniture, lamps, knobs?) all with handmade tags and a beautiful Christmas card handcrafted by Marion.......
Edward had candies, a vivid blue bird ornament (at our house he'll hang year round) a pastoral scene journal, highland shortbread made from ingredients grown on HRH Prince Charles' farm.....delicious, each one......
Now, the rest of the story.......Marion and John have yet to receive their package......I feel so badly......I won't say what's in it..hopefully it will get there.....maybe it will be a Valentine's Day gift or Marion's birthday is in February........
If by chance, you see a rectangle package, wrapped in brown paper ,with red writing, embellished with green holly leaves and red berries, please leave me a comment. I'm hoping it didn't get on a slow boat to China by mistake.............

Post Script:
On Friday, January 25th, Marion and I were emailing back and forth and in the middle of one she was sending...the postman delivered a parcel to her home....THE LOST PACKAGE HAD FOUND ITS WAY TO ITS DESTINATION.....YAAAHHH......
