We decided on a recently refurbished restaurant in another town............Since it was Memorial Day, many members had other plans but we were very pleased with our accomodations.........our handsome waiter, John........

Later, that afternoon, we visited a dear gentleman's working farm to show Marion and John farm life in the south.....he toured peanut fields, corn fields, etc., with us....showing us farm machinery to harvest the crops in the fall..... a naturalist who enjoys sharing his knowledge, he carried us to an abandoned house that a female buzzard returns to each year to lay her eggs....the tiny newborn babies are white......I made a picture but have not been able to locate it.......He has garden seed that has been in his family for over 100 years.....a truly educational experience.......
The next morning, Tuesday, we leave for Savannah, Georgia.....we meet another blogging buddy, Sandy....... eat with Paula Deen.......yum, yum.......
