I couldn't believe my eyes.......

As I was going through our little village early one morning this week, there standing by the highway, as big as you please, stood the biggest Tom Turkey with his tail feathers spread out that I have ever seen! Never have I seen one like that in our part of the world. When we lived about 150 miles from here to the north, we had a flock of wild turkeys that would come out of the woods frequently, but they were small in size.

Looking in the rear view mirror, I saw him sauntering across the road without a care in the world. I guess Tom knew it was nowhere near Thansgiving, so it was safe to be out and about..............
