Looking into the hallway......The lamps on the chest came out of an old barn being cleaned out that belonged to friends....a little cleaning, new shades and two great lamps.......
Once we had a formal living room with a white damask Queen Ann sofa, wing chairs and accessories that we used a couple of times a year....as our family grew, we made the living room and dining room into a huge dining room....
This is a great spot to sit and watch a beautiful sunset. This chair is one of a pair that I originally used in the den with matching fabric window treatments. Sometimes I use them on either end of the table. Our dining room has been painted red for many years and I never tire of it.......
Frosty was purchased at a bazaar this year and graces one corner of the dining room......
I usually set the dining table with Christmas dishes but this year decided to use the red and cream dishes... a Christopher Radko Christmas tree with a train around the bottom is in the center. I found it still in the box at a Goodwill store.....the over size table cloth was purchased for $11.00 at a thrift store. The young girl charged me only $1.00 for it and when I got home folded inside was a tag for $11.00. I returned and gave her $11.00. Her mother was thankful and I was still a happy camper..... The china cabinet was $40.00.
This is the neatest wreath bought at a thrift store. It plays music and tells the birth of our Lord Jesus' birth. I had it hanging and my husband knocked it down breaking it into many pieces......Elmer, is one of my dearest friends. Patiently, I glued it back together and now it is placed on the table........

This is our Christmas goose.....a $2.00 purchase at a thrift store...
My sweet granddaughter, Elisabeth, does Gingerbread House workshops and she surprised me with one......
This mantel came out of an old house being torn down...
The church pew was in a church that my grandmother was a charter member of in the late 1800's...It was originally 10 or 12 feet long. I have a better picture showing the curved legs but punched this one in and it is such a bother to delete and replace maybe I'll use it in a later post.......
We live in the deep south and snow is not common. The winter of '89 was a different story. We had a white Christmas....my husband made this picture and I think he did an exceptional job........next visit we'll see another room.....come back
